Jimbo's Files is a personal digital infrastructure project — a collection of self-hosted services running on a single NixOS machine. The goal is straightforward: keep essential tools under one roof, controlled by the person who uses them.
What Powers This Site
Everything runs on NixOS, a Linux distribution built around declarative configuration and reproducible builds. That means the entire server setup — packages, services, firewall rules — lives in version-controlled config files.
Core Services
- Nextcloud — File storage, sync, and sharing.
- Vaultwarden — A lightweight Bitwarden-compatible password manager.
- Forgejo — A self-hosted Git forge for collaborative code hosting.
Beyond these, the platform also experiments with streaming, gaming servers, federated social tools (Mastodon, Lemmy, Pixelfed), and other utilities — all in various stages of tinkering.
